A STIRRING line-up of top comedy, drama and other content comes to DStv viewers on April 6, when M-Net City takes over from M-Net Series Zone as a new entertainment channel.

M-Net City — a high-impact channel aimed at adding to the variety of programme genres, will be available to DStv Premium and DStv Compact viewers on channel 115. Content lined up includes comedies like highly-rated US series Modern Family and Last Man Standing, talk shows and the debut of Chicago PD –—a crime and drama series.

MultiChoice Zimbabwe publicity and public relations manager, Liz Dziva said the channel would screen blockbuster films on Saturdays and Sundays.

“Viewers will now be able to indulge in non-stop viewing of back-to-back episodes of various series that would have been showcased in single slots, between Mondays and Fridays.

“The introduction of M-Net City is the result of continuous evaluation, adjustment and reshuffling of programme and channel offerings to meet ever-changing expectations and tastes,” Dziva said.

Last year, M-Net introduced M-Net Edge and Vuzu AMP, to the delight of DStv Premium viewers.

“Now we’ve created M-Net City, a new channel that will enhance the viewing experience, not only of Premium viewers, but also people in the Compact bouquet range too,” Dziva said.

On Saturdays and Sundays, movies will be screened in early prime time, followed by weekend back-back continuous sessions from 7.30pm.

M-Net Series Zone transmission will end on April 5 at midnight. M-Net City will start broadcasting at 5PM on the following day.

“The current series offering on M-Net Series Zone will conclude before the channel becomes M-Net City,” Dziva said.
