FOOTBALL giants, Dynamos have appointed former Zifa boss Jonathan Mashingaidze as their chief executive officer.

“Dynamos Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jonathan Mashingaidze as the Chief Executive Officer of the club. The appointment is with immediate effect and it’s in line with Fifa, Caf and Zifa Club licensing framework and the club’s strategic plan,” read a statement from Dynamos spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo.

Last year, the seasoned football administrator was deployed to the role of business consultant at the club in response to the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mashingaidze is expected to run the club’s secretariat which is in charge of the strategic operations of the team. He is also expected to headline the club’s quest for the return to the olden glory days having gone for years without a league title.

Mashingaidze will double as general manager of the DeMbare @60 anniversary celebrations organising committee that was unveiled last week.

“The club wishes Mashingaidze success in his new placement,” the statement concluded.
