MASVINGO District Darts Association has extended a begging bowl to the corporate world for sponsorship of their activities. The league has seen seven teams pulling out of the league due to financial constraints since it started in 2010. Borniface Moyo, the Masvingo Darts Association spokesperson, said that the league was hanging on a thread and feared that more teams could pull out if the situation continued unabated.

Mushure, Farai, Makohole, Chartsworth, Mushagashe, Wizmart and New Jack City are the clubs that have pulled out of the league race because of financial constraints. Moyo said the sport was enjoying positive growth in the province despite the challenges.

Meanwhile, in the league games, table toppers Zishumbe got a shock after they lost 18-21 to 12th placed Ujiji, with Burning Spears edging Charandura 20-19 and Snippers beating A

Team 28-11.
