Fetch your life hit-maker, South African house DJ Prince Kaybee has hinted that his forthcoming album may just be the last.

Announcing the completion of his album on his Facebook fan page on Sunday, Prince Kaybee told his thousands of followers on that platform that it may be his last, news that was met with mixed feelings from fans who urged him to continue producing music.

“Album complete finally. Could be my last album in my career. Shout out to the people that are part of this historic moment in my life…” posted the musician who is nominated nine times at this year’s South African Music Awards (Sama).

Commented Ntethelelo Ayanda Cana: “At this early stage you want to stop making good music bra? No man, you have all it takes to run the industry till you become a Dr in House Music.

We still need more from you. You still need to collect more awards for your collection.Musicians never grow old enough to stop making music because that’s what they live for to heal people more than bandages could.”

“It can’t be your last man. We still need your music, you gave us good music from Wajellwato Ayabulela. That was just a roundup of all the greatest hits you gave us. You also created that hit Charlotte, damn I loved that track,” commented Kgabzo Moloi.

Other fans reacted by advising the musician not to make premature decisions.

Don’t say it’s your last album my guy. You don’t know how life happens. Look at Khuli Chana, he retired and saw it wasn’t working and tried to come back but the game wasn’t interested anymore. This is life,” commented one Thato Makhamba.

Wrote Paul Likhale: “This could be your last album? I thought you were just taking warm ups. There’s a long road ahead of you kannete, don’t do this to us, we need your music till you are 50 years.

Some simply said Prince Kaybee was seeking attention. No date has been set yet for the album launch with fans pleading with the artiste to release the album already.

His last album, Re Mmino released last year, went platinum. It contained hits Gugulethu, Fetch your life, Banomoya and Club Controller.

Meanwhile, should he win the Sama song of the year award, Prince Kaybee pledged to give the award to Master KG who was not nominated for his hit, Jerusarema which features Nomcebo, despite it having performed very well last year.

If I win Song Of The Year this year at the Samas, Im going to get that award edited to‪ Master KG Ft Nomcebo – Jerusalem. ‪Thats just my contribution to what they have achieved this year,” posted Prince Kaybee.
