ADVANCE tickets for the Kalawa Homecoming party will go on sale next week at a local hotel in Bulawayo.

General tickets for the annual fete taking place at Queens Sports Grounds on December 27 have been pegged at $15 while those who want to be upclose and personal with the performing artistes will be expected to part with $40 for VIP access.

On the day of the show, general entry will cost $20 and $50 for VIP.

Artistes, Babes Wodumo, Big Nuz, Professor, Jah Prayzah, Winky D, Cal_Vin, DJs Oskido, Pepsi, Bobstar, Fresh, Otis “The Flow” Fraser, Sbago, C’ndo, Zinhle, Mgane, Tony Digital, Liquid DJ and Zenzo (Dublin) will perform.

Babongile Sikhonjwa and veteran radio personality Ezra ‘Tshisa’ Sibanda will be the hosts on the night.

Show organiser, Vusumuzi Siqalaba of X MO Squad said preparations for the show were going on well with artistes expected in Bulawayo on the day of the event.

He said, considering the cash crunch, they were looking for ways to enable people to purchase tickets and buy drinks at the show using plastic money.

“We’re cognisant that there’s a cash shortage so we want the point of sale machines to be available for our patrons,” said Siqalaba.

He said they would create a VVIP section like last year if demand rises.

“Last year, there was a VVIP section and that’s subject to demand from people. If people want the VVIP section, then we’ll create one for them. But for now, the VIP section has a bar, tent and waitresses on standby to serve these important people.”
